Also keep in mind any other software running on your computer is also using CPU resources. USB sources may use more resources than HDMI or SDI sources. It's Haswell processor is two generations back from current Mac CPU technology. I'd also note the MacMini CPU dates from 2014 so it's also an older i7. The CPU usage fluctuated between 78% and 100%. I have attempted to stream only to Facebook Live, without using JoiCaster or recording the show. Wirecast subsequently froze up and I had to kill the show 6 minutes after starting. When attempting to do a live stream today to Facebook, YouTube and my website, while recording, I found the CPU usage was showing 99% in Wirecast. I purchased a new Apple Mac-Mini solely for the purpose of running Wirecast 7 to send video to Facebook Live, record video and send video to JoiCaster, to stream onto my website and YouTube. ![]()
